Known Murickan the man defeated water sprites
Murickan was a hardworking farmer who started rice cultivation below sea level. Lakes were untouched for cultivation till his period. He made huge mud walls and pumped out lake water with Chakkras, a then perfect type of manual revolver foot pump. Murickan harvested golden rice spikes from mud. His vast granary and house is an attraction.
